Grimsby Morris will be out celebrating our patron saint's day as we usually do. Our own Saint George will hopefully accompany us so dragons would be advised to stay away.

Our first spot of the evening is at the Royal Oak, Holton-le-Clay which has become our traditional start point for Saint George's Day.Starting at 8.00 pm we'll do 3 or 4 dances in the car park and then refresh ourselves before moving on.

Next, its the New Inn at North Thoresby at about 8.45 pm. Again, we'll do a few dances then pop inside for fluid replacement. We'll probably sing a song or two and play a tune or two. 

On the first day of May Morris dancers all over the country and further afield get up at a very silly time to dance up the sun. Members of Grimsby Morris will be at the Meridian Line in Cleethorpes dancing to encourage the sun to climb above the horizon and peep between the clouds. 

For the past few years we have had a musician and two or three dancers so we danced a couple of jigs and sang a couple of songs. This year we may just manage to get six dancers out (!!!) so we will hopefully be able to dance a full set dance as well as a jig.

Grimsby Morris are off to Hemswell again to be part of their May bank holiday celebration. We'll be dancing in Maypole Street, outside the village hall, accompanied by Herring Gals Plus. Children from the local school will be dancing around the Maypole.

The event runs from 1 pm to 4 pm.

In honour of the late, great David Bowie we're going from Station to Station. Sadly we can't afford a trip to Berlin so the stations are in Cleethorpes. But there are 3 of them.

We start, at 8 pm, at the Lakeside Station of Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway, specifically, the Signal Box Inn. After a few dances and some refreshment we'll move on to the Lifeboat Station where we'll do some more dancing. Some of us may sneak off to Willy's Pub for a cup of tea or something. Finally its on to Cleethorpes Railway Station where we'll dance outside the No.2.

After missing last year's CFCF due to lack of dancers Grimsby Morris are back, dancing on the 'red road' outside the Signal Box Inn. There'll be music, morris dancing and, of course, cider. Other beverages are available.n Details to be confirmed.

Grimsby Morris will be visiting some of the region's breweries, sampling the wares and doing some dancing to celebrate John Barleycorn's finest. Details tbc.

Our regular visit to Caistor to dance and bless the water pump. We will be collecting in support of Water Aid. Details tbc.

We dance-out in Barrow market place every year around this date to commemorate the Barrow Carnival of old. The carnival may be gone but GM dance on.

We'll be arriving a bit before 8 pm aiming to do our first dance around that time. After a number of dances we'll take a short break for refreshment and then do some more. Finally we will adjourn to a nearby hostelry for further refreshment and some songs/tunes.

North Kelsey Village Fair opens tonight with a dressing and blessing of the village water pump and Grimsby Morris will be dancing in front of the pump.  A visit to the Butcher's Arms will also be on the cards. Details tbc.
